Your regular eye doctor will explain the surgery to you, with a full discussion of the benefits and risks. Ask any question you want and get reliable, patient answers. To check your candidacy for LASIK, you will need a comprehensive eye exam, during which your eye doctor will assess your corneal thickness and curvature, tear film, vision prescription, and the structure of your eyelids. If the results determine that you are a good candidate for LASIK, you will be referred to Dr. Walman, a top eye doctor and eye surgeon in practice for 25 years.


Pre-operative Eye Care

Your eye doctor will assist you to arrange your LASIK or Cataract surgery with Dr. Walman and will handle your pre-op check-up. During this appointment, you will get clear instructions for the day of your LASIK or Cataract procedure, tell you what to expect, and explain the healing process.


Post-operative Eye Care

You may be instructed to visit your regular eye doctor the day following your LASIK or Cataract surgery. Your doctor will check to make sure that your eyes are healing properly, and will communicate your post-operative results to Dr. Walman. If there are any concerns, Dr. Walman may ask to see you personally. Your regular eye doctor is paid a portion of the global fee for surgery to compensate for the post-operative visits they do for you. After your initial eye exam, you will need to return for regular examinations with your eye doctor throughout the next few weeks and months.
